CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL AT THE NATIONAL BLACK BOOK FESTIVAL 2017

The annual National Black Book Festival is hosting it's first "festival within a festival" in Houston, Texas on October 28, 2017.  The Children's Festival Coordinators are Children's Authors Pamela Jarmon-Wade, Shelita Anderson, and Mary Evans.  The two hour window for the children will be lots of fun.  There will be seventeen featured children's authors doing readings, answering questions, taking photos, and autographing books.  There will be balloons, gift card giveaways, door prizes, and other fun activities going on.

The Children's Festival is the brainchild of Gwen Richardson, co-founder of the National Black Book Festival (NBBF).  She and her husband, Willie Richardson, launched the NBBF ten years ago and it is obvious that with the new inclusion of The Children's Festival, that they plan to continue for years to come.  Houstonians love having this amazing African-American literature event in the city.  Authors across the U.S. participate annually.  The event is free and will be held at Fallbrook Church.  For more info visit www.nationalblackbookfestival.com. This event is sponsored by Cushcity.com.
